If you have the opportunity to go to Niteroi, you must go to this Restaurant. It offers excellent meats. I ate frog there! The service is spectacular. There is a large salad bar and very good desserts, all served in a great atmosphere. As seen in the photo, the waiters pass the pieces of meat with skewers, and approach your table if you are above a green indication which says "I do". They serve you a portion or the ones you want, and you pay a fee not the total of what you eat. Bon Apetit!
This is a very traditional restaurant located in Floripa, which specialises in seafood. It is very famous for sticky notes that customers stick to the walls and the ceiling. It has various snack options, and delicious fruit juices. Located onn the beachfront, and away from the bustle of the city centre, it's a great option for lunchtime on Sunday.
This is one of the most famous Italian restaurants in Gramado. There are so many options, all homemade. Cold antipasti, poultry, a number of meat dishes ... everything is very good. The environment is typical of southern Italy, with a lot of wood and hanging flags. A great option for those who want to experience Italian food in town.
The "Fogo de Chao" is the perfect place to appreciate the true "gaucho" style of meat in Rio de Janeiro. Combining a sophisticated and welcoming environment, the restaurant lets its clients come together for leisure and business in the same location. You are offered a selection of the best meat, 16 slices accompanied by a varied buffet of salads and a selection of the best wines in the world. I can´t forget the marvelous views of the beach of Botafogo and Pao de Acucar.
Garota de Ipanema is one of the restaurants / bars of Rio de Janeiro that are well-known and one of the most visited. It owes its fame to the fact that it is dedicated to Vinicius de Moraes, the author of the famous song "The Girl from Ipanema". It can be found at an intersection, one of which is named after "Vinicius de Moraes" and is in the neighborhood of Ipanema. Ipanema is one of the safest and most tranquil neighborhoods of Rio, so you can walk around during the day and night. Sometimes there is live music but do not worry because there's always something similar in the street such as musicians, Capoeira dancers, etc. The décor is very nice and there is a big wall. The prices are affordable but not exactly cheap. But remember that you are in Rio de Janeiro. It´s worth visiting.
This is more than just a pizzeria - it has become an attraction, thanks to its Caribbean theme. The decor is impeccable, and everything is very creative; the waiters are dressed as pirates and offer great service, and there's a park for the children to play, complete with pirate ship. But what about the pizza? Delicious! Arrive early, as it's popular. For me, the only downside is that you can't take photos inside.
Belmonte is famous for its beer and pies, and is known one of the best bars in the city of Rio de Janeiro. It is worth mentioning that their sandwiches are really delicious. It's not too expensive, either. For me, the juices they offer are perfect for accompanying the food (I don't drink beer), and they also serve a good fruit caipirinha. If you drink, do not drive. Try the delicious shrimp cakes, too! Some say that the burgers here are the best in Rio de Janeiro; I don't know how true that is, but they're definitely worth a try. A perfect spot for the summer.
This network of shops is one of those places where people go after visiting the beach, to have a meal or just a snack. The atmosphere is great, and they offer a wide range of meals: pancakes, sandwiches, salads, and juices. It has 11 locations distributed in several areas: South Zone, Barra, Northern Zone and Niterói. It is worth a try!
Sao Paulo has a huge range of bars, restaurants and cafes, so it's easy to find a gastronomic spot to fall in love with in every corner of the city. One such place is the Sujinho, a traditional type of restaurant serving steak in the city centre. But I want to talk about another restaurant: since 2009, the Sujinho has had a second location open in the city, selling burgers. These are handmade burgers, some of the best in the whole city. They come with delicious homemade mayonnaise, seasoned with garlic and herbs. The burgers come in three different sizes: 80g, 160g and 250g. In addition, they sell hot dogs and sandwiches. The thick-cut chips are delicious, accompanied by two incredible sauces. It's not too expensive, but be careful - they don't always accept cards, so it's best to withdraw money before going.
This is one of the best dining options if you're in the city of Fortaleza. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the sea, located next to the Japanese gardens and with a large menu to choose from. The offer pizzas, steaks, pasta dishes and various desserts, as well as a wide selection of wines and beers. The pizza is a great option, with a huge number of toppings available. It has live music every day. Credit and debit cards are accepted.
I lived in Foz de Iguazú a few years and with certainty the Confitera Jauense makes the best chicken leg with cheese from the three borders (Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina) tried by the majority of people visiting the city. This confectionery makes the best pies, crackers, and snacks in town. It has it's own parking, and a tea salon with 70 seats. Friends usually meet here to enjoy the delights, and chat in the evening.
These days, I discovered this candy store right in the city centre of So Paulo, in Antonio Prado square. Actually the correct terminology is "Sweet" as Casa Matilde offers very traditional Portuguese cakes. It relates to Mathilde Queijadas Factory founded in the year 1850 in Sintra, Portugal. It offers handcrafted and traditional manufacturing of Queijadinha famous Portuguese sweet like the cream pie, pillow, among others. The site has a very modern and cozy decor. Upstairs, you can get a view of the beautiful Largo Antonio Prado, so if you are doing a tour of the historical center of the city of So Paulo, or just passing through, it's worth knowing. Highly recommended.
I didn't have a chance to try the food at Mestre Das Aguas Restaurant, but I recommend you start with one of their delicious drinks. The atmosphere is filled with reggae music, candles and decorations, and the attention of the owners and waiters. It is located on one end of the beach Bombinhas (the end near the beach Embrulhos) and is open not only during the day but also at night. It has an area with indoor and outdoor seating with chairs. Very good place to spend a quiet evening with your feet in the sand.
The Casa da Feijoada is one of those places that attracts foreigners and locals. It has a lovely atmosphere and delicious food. There are options available for those who don't want to try this very traditional Brazilian dish. The feijoada costs about US $ 62.50, with plenty of accompaniments, and you can choose what goes in with the beans (ideal for anyone who doesn't like things like pig's ears). The dessert is also to feast for your eyes with delicious caramel, guava jelly, jam, and other sweets.
Wow, I really like eating here. The food is cheap and tasty, with kofta and stuffed peppers. You can order a half-portion if you're not feeling hungry. You'll find it at the Largo do Machado subway station: just turn left as you leave, and you'll find it.
